Morty Wortman
Mortimer “Morty” Wortman, 22, was last seen on November 21, 2025, in Jackson Township, New Jersey. Surveillance captured him getting into a vehicle with an acquaintance, Adam Zalouk, around 6 p.m. that evening.
He was later seen near a wooded area off High Bridge Road around 10:30 p.m., close to where his car was found in the Regional Day School parking lot near his mother’s home.
Family members have raised concerns about Zalouk, who was previously arrested for threatening Morty and a woman with a knife months before the disappearance.
He told police the two argued that night and that Morty ran into the woods, a claim that has not been corroborated.
Morty is a Rutgers University senior studying agriculture, described by loved ones as someone who “lit up a room” with his curiosity and kindness.
Despite searches in the surrounding woods and ongoing investigative work, no confirmed sightings or evidence have surfaced since that night.
