Bradley Stracener
Case Information:
Bradley Stracener was 30 years old when he disappeared from Leesville, Louisiana, on October 30, 2019. He was a member of the Four Winds Tribe Louisiana Cherokee Confederacy.
On the day he vanished, Bradley left his mother’s home to return a car to his girlfriend. The drive was only ten miles long. However, Bradley never reached his destination and has not been seen since.
Case Details:
Bradley was known to be mechanically inclined and shared a close bond with his three siblings. Before leaving, he made his mother breakfast and told her he would see her later.
At the time, Bradley was driving his girlfriend’s silver Ford Focus. While he had faced personal struggles, his family insisted he would never simply walk away from his life forever.
Timeline of Events:
Bradley was last seen in the Sandy Hill area on the afternoon of October 30. Reports indicate he visited friends before starting his drive toward his girlfriend’s home.
The following morning, October 31, the Ford Focus was located on a remote hunting lease gate. The vehicle was found unlocked with the keys left sitting on the passenger seat.
Investigation:
The Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office (VPSO) has led the investigation for over six years. Detective David Vance stated they have no evidence suggesting someone caused harm to Bradley.
Records show Bradley had an active probation warrant at the time he disappeared. Authorities noted he was known to hide in the woods for weeks when facing legal issues.
Community Response:
The community has remained active in the “Help Find Bradley Stracener” movement on social media. Organizations like the CUE Center for Missing Persons have coordinated multiple volunteer searches in the rugged Louisiana woods.
VPSO officials noted they have interviewed hundreds of people over the last five years. Despite these efforts, no credible leads have pointed to Bradley’s current whereabouts.
Family Statements:
Bradley’s mother, Toni James, was his most vocal advocate and frequently criticized the official investigation. She strongly believed foul play was involved and rejected the theory that he was simply hiding.
Tragically, in March 2026, Toni James was found deceased in her car in Beauregard Parish. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances of her death as the family mourns this double tragedy.
Physical Appearance:
Bradley is 5’10” tall and weighed approximately 185 pounds at the time of his disappearance. He has red or auburn hair and brown eyes.
He has a thin, receding hairline and may have a mustache or full beard. Bradley is also noted for having a large amount of body hair on his chest and back.
Current Status:
The case of Bradley Stracener is officially listed as “stale” but remains an open missing persons file. He is still listed in the NamUs database under case number MP64064.
VPSO continues to follow new leads and recently conducted a polygraph test in reference to the case. The recent passing of his mother has added a somber layer to this long-unsolved mystery.
