Caitlyn Rose
Caitlyn Rose Case was 33 when she disappeared while traveling from Houma, Louisiana to Colorado. She was last heard from on August 5, 2022, after getting lost in rural Texas during her drive home.
She stayed in contact with her family throughout the trip and reported issues with her navigation system and cell service. Her route took her through several Texas towns before her final call to her father around 5 p.m., which cut out unexpectedly.
Her vehicle was later tracked moving north toward Paris, Texas, and then into Oklahoma, though investigators do not believe she physically entered the state. Her family reported her missing the next day when they could no longer reach her.
On August 12, 2022, her SUV was found abandoned near a steep embankment along the Kiamichi River in Oklahoma. All of her belongings were still inside, and authorities believe someone else attempted to dispose of the vehicle.
In October 2023, human remains were discovered near the same river. They were identified as Caitlyn’s in December 2023, and the manner and cause of death have not yet been determined.
