William Ellis
William Ellis, 25, disappeared from Wyandotte, Michigan on November 21, 2017. He walked away from Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital before being evaluated for hypothermia and was never seen again.
William had been talking about traveling to Hawaii in the weeks before he vanished. He followed a vegan diet, spent time in natural food stores, and lived simply, but nothing suggested he planned to leave without telling anyone.
A possible sighting surfaced in June 2019 behind Waterfront Mary’s in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. A man resembling William reportedly said he had “no name” and was part of a group planning to live off‑grid in the woods, but investigators were unable to confirm the encounter.
William is a white male with brown hair and brown eyes, standing 5’10” and weighing around 120 lbs. His hair was short and shaggy at the time he disappeared. He was last seen wearing a grey t‑shirt, blue hospital pants, a hospital gown, blue hospital socks, and a hospital ID bracelet.
He may also have had a black down jacket, a yellow parka, blue jeans, hiking shoes, and a backpack with him.
Anyone with information about William Ellis is asked to contact the Wyandotte Police Department at 734‑324‑4405.
