Brandy Maples
Brandy Maples, 29, was found shot to death near the intersection of Palomino Drive and Morgan Road in Milton, Florida on January 20, 2016. Her homicide remains unsolved.
Brandy was known for her bright personality and the way she lit up every room she entered. Her niece, Kayla White, remembers her as the life of the party — someone who made others feel welcome, loved, and entertained. She was a devoted mother of four, and her children were the center of her world.
She shared a deep, sister‑like bond with her best friend Tiffany. The two spent countless nights watching movies, taking long drives with the windows down, and listening to Tupac and their favorite R&B artists. To Kayla, Brandy was more than an aunt — she was a role model who taught her respect, confidence, and how to carry herself with pride.
Brandy sometimes struggled with people who didn’t have her best interests at heart, but she remained a loving, grounding force for her family.
Her tragic death inspired Kayla to pursue a criminology degree so she could help other families searching for truth. Brandy’s children have also been motivated to honor her memory by succeeding in school and planning for college.
Brandy’s family believes someone in Milton knows what happened that night. They continue to plead for information, reminding the public that no family should live without answers.
Anyone with information about Brandy Maples’ homicide is asked to call the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office at 850‑983‑1100, or to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 850‑437‑7867.
