Brittany Duff
Brittany Duff was thirty two years old when she was last seen in Kermit, West Virginia on June 12, 2022. She had told a friend she would be arriving soon, but never made it.
Brittany was born on October 29, 1989, and grew up in a close family with two older siblings. She graduated from Tolsia High School in 2008 and later became a mother of four.
In the months before she disappeared, she had been working to rebuild her life and entered a treatment program for support. A suspicious fire destroyed the home she inherited from her father, forcing her to stay with her mother while she made new plans.
On the day she vanished, Brittany was seen leaving a residence on Jennings Creek Road. She walked away wearing a white shirt and jeans and carried a backpack with her belongings.
The next day, she borrowed someone’s phone and left a voicemail for a friend saying she was on her way. She sounded anxious and said she was in Louisa, Kentucky, but she never arrived.
Her family tried reaching her for days, hoping she would call back or return home. When ten days passed with no contact, her mother reported her missing to the West Virginia State Police.
Friends later told investigators that Brittany seemed frantic during the call and may have been trying to get help. One friend said they had given her a ride to Louisa, adding another layer of uncertainty to the timeline.
Her family traveled to Kentucky to file an additional report, wanting to make sure every agency had her information. They searched the area themselves, hoping someone had seen her walking or asking for assistance.
Brittany did not have a phone or vehicle at the time she disappeared, making it difficult to trace her movements. With no confirmed sightings after June 13, the investigation has struggled to find a clear direction.
Brittany is described as 6’1”, 125–130 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Her tattoos include “SPARK” on her neck, a star on her stomach, and her children’s names on her wrist.
She was last seen wearing a pink shirt, jean shorts, white and green sneakers, sunglasses, a gold chain, bracelets, and carrying a tan backpack. These details remain important in case someone recognizes her or remembers seeing her that day.
Her family continues to search and hopes someone will come forward with information that can help bring her home. They remain committed to finding answers and keeping her name visible in both West Virginia and Kentucky.
