Andrea Knabel
Andrea Knabel, a 37‑year‑old mother of two, disappeared in the early morning hours of August 13, 2019, in Louisville, Kentucky. She was last seen walking in the 4000 block of Fincastle Road in the Audubon Park neighborhood around 1:00 a.m. and has not been seen or heard from since.
Hours earlier, Andrea had gone to the hospital for treatment of a facial infection, then took a Lyft to her mother’s home on Chickadee Road. Just after midnight, she walked to her sister’s house about a mile away. After an argument there, she left at 1:38 a.m. and began heading back toward her mother’s home.
Andrea made several phone calls between 1:30 and 2:00 a.m. asking for a ride. At 1:54 a.m., she reached the Chickadee Road house but did not go inside. This is the last confirmed location where she was seen. Her phone remained active at the home until 6:30 a.m., but when police searched the property, the phone was gone.
There has been no activity on Andrea’s bank accounts since she vanished, and despite interviews with multiple individuals, no arrests have been made.
Her disappearance remains an active investigation with the Louisville Metro Police Department. Andrea had been deeply involved in volunteer work with Missing in America, helping search for others before she went missing herself.
Andrea is 5’7″, approximately 180 pounds, with brown hair (often highlighted blonde) and hazel‑green eyes. She was last seen wearing a light‑colored tank top, white shorts, and light‑colored Nike shoes.
