Iva Koopman
Iva Joetta “Jo” Koopman was last seen in Tulsa, Oklahoma on March 1, 2021. No one has heard from her since the day after her home burned, leaving her family deeply concerned.
She was 37 at the time, standing around 5’4” to 5’5” and weighing about 123 pounds. She has blonde‑strawberry hair, blue eyes, and several piercings in her ears, tongue, belly button, and pelvic area.
Jo has a half‑moon‑shaped scar on her upper right shoulder blade and a colorful butterfly tattoo on her lower back. She also has a flower tattoo on her left ankle and often wore multiple necklaces and small jewelry.
Her family said she had been trying to gather her belongings after a violent incident with her boyfriend. They believe she may have returned to the house to pack when something went wrong.
According to reports, Jo was last seen near 46th Street North and Main Street on March 1. NamUs notes she may have been helped by an older Black male in a light blue van around that time.
Five days later, her home was set on fire, adding another layer of fear and confusion to the case. Investigators searched the property but found no trace of her inside.
Her family has shared that there was a history of abuse in her relationship. Because of that, they worry she may have been harmed before the fire was set.
Jo often wore her hair in a bun and dressed in small‑sized clothing with size‑7 shoes. She usually wore dangling earrings, belly‑button jewelry, and a toe ring.
There have been no confirmed sightings, no phone activity, and no communication from her since that day. The silence has left her family desperate for answers and hoping someone will come forward.
Her disappearance remains an active investigation, and her loved ones continue to search for any detail that could help bring clarity. They believe someone in the community knows what happened.
