Justin Liu
Justin Liu disappeared in late October 2018 while traveling through California, and he has not been seen or heard from since. He was last in contact with friends and family around Halloween while visiting San Francisco, and it’s believed he may have been heading toward Seattle afterward.
When he stopped responding to calls and messages — something completely out of character for him — his loved ones reported him missing to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office.
Three weeks later, Justin’s blue Toyota C‑HR was found abandoned on the side of Highway 1, just north of Davenport. His wallet, cell phone, and other personal belongings were still inside the vehicle.
Search efforts were conducted in the surrounding area, and investigators analyzed his phone, but no clues were found that could explain where he went or what happened after he left the car behind.
Justin is an Army veteran described by those who know him as a kind, dependable person who would help anyone in need. His sudden disappearance, with no communication and no signs of distress beforehand, has left his family and friends deeply concerned.
Authorities have stated they found no evidence of foul play, but the lack of answers has made the search especially difficult. Even small details — a sighting, a conversation someone remembers, or something unusual noticed along Highway 1 — could help bring direction to his case.
Justin was 28 years old when he disappeared. He is 6 feet tall, weighs about 180 pounds, and goes by the name Justin, though his given name is Shih Wen Liu. His whereabouts remain unknown, and his case is still classified as missing.
