Mary Ann White
Mary Ann White was 37 years old when she vanished on July 1, 2004, after dropping off an acquaintance in southwest Atlanta around 10:00 p.m. She was driving her purple 2000 Saturn LS that night, and when loved ones couldn’t reach her, she was reported missing. She has not been seen or heard from since.
Her car was later found parked at her residence on Northside Drive, and all of her belongings — including her luggage, jewelry, and clothing — were still inside her apartment. Nothing suggested she had packed to leave, and there has been no activity on her bank account since the night she disappeared.
In the weeks before she went missing, Mary’s boyfriend had given her $7,000 to help her finish a book she was writing.
Investigators considered the possibility that she left on her own with the money, but her family strongly disagrees. They believe she met with foul play, especially given that her friends and acquaintances gave conflicting statements about her disappearance.
Mary is 5’11”, approximately 170–180 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, and pierced ears. She was a waitress, model, and aspiring writer, and the oldest of six siblings with two children of her own.
Her case remains unsolved more than two decades later.
