Sherree Brown was 50 years old when she was last seen on October 17, 2023, near the 800 block of Daphia Circle in Newport News, Virginia. She had been living at the Berkley Village Apartments for the past three years and was familiar with the area.
Sherree was reported missing a week later, on October 24, after her daughter realized no one had seen or heard from her. Her disappearance immediately raised concern because she has stage‑four breast cancer and urgently needs ongoing medical care.
Her family said she never missed important appointments, especially those related to her treatment. When she failed to show up for a critical doctor’s visit on November 13, they knew something was seriously wrong.
Inside her apartment, she left behind her phone, wallet, purse, medication, and driver’s license. These items suggested she did not plan to leave on her own or be away for long.
Just ten days before she vanished, Sherree told her daughter she had been assaulted by a man who pulled her into a truck. Her family fears this incident may be connected to her disappearance.
Investigators have been working to piece together her final known movements. With no confirmed sightings and no activity on her accounts, the case has remained difficult to move forward.
Her family continues to search, sharing her story and keeping her name visible in hopes that someone remembers seeing her that day. They believe someone in the community may hold a key detail that could help bring answers.
Sherree is described as 4’11” and around 90 pounds, with tattoos reading “Alexus” and “Zariah” on her left arm. She also has surgical scars on her chest from a double mastectomy and on her left shoulder from rotator cuff surgery.
She was last seen wearing a sleeveless pink blouse, gray jogging pants, and a black durag. She may have been wearing a silver cross necklace and a medical ID bracelet on her left wrist.
Her family remains hopeful that someone will come forward with information that can help locate her. They continue to advocate for her case and pray for her safe return.
