Corey Daniely
Overview:
Corey Daniely, 35, is a musician from Santa Rosa, California. He has been missing since August 7, 2023.
Since then, investigators have tried to understand what happened. Meanwhile, his family continues to push for answers.
Later that night, he disappeared on his 33rd birthday after leaving a home in unincorporated Fresno County near Kerman. Additionally, the events leading to his departure remain unclear.
Disappearance Details:
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office believes his disappearance is suspicious. Therefore, detectives think foul play is likely.
Corey was last seen around 3 a.m. in the 2500 block of South Bishop Avenue after an argument inside the home. Afterward, he walked away shirtless, wearing red sweatpants and Nike shoes.
In addition, he left his phone, backpack, and personal belongings behind. Furthermore, his family says he did not know the area and would not have walked off on his own.
About Corey:
Corey is 5’8″ to 5’9″ and 180–190 pounds. He has long black dreadlocks, brown eyes, and a lion tattoo on his back or shoulder.
For example, he performed in the Bay Area music scene as “Crumb Dread.” In addition, he played drums, piano, and guitar.
His mother, Tamecka Harris, says he was a free spirit devoted to his family and his young son. Even so, she fears someone harmed him.
Early Leads:
In the days after he vanished, a man posted on Corey’s Facebook page and claimed he had Corey’s phone and backpack. At that point, when Corey’s mother contacted him, he said Corey left after an argument.
However, he refused to explain what happened inside the home. As a result, she believes several people know more than they are saying.
Search Efforts:
Search teams covered orchards, vineyards, open fields, canals, and rural properties. Deputies, volunteers, drones, cadaver dogs, and off‑road vehicles searched up to 14 miles from the last known location.
Additionally, detectives served a search warrant at the home. Yet no trace of Corey has appeared.
Family Concerns:
Corey’s family says he would never disappear on purpose. He stayed in close contact with his mother and never missed performances with his band.
Moreover, he was excited about milestones in his son’s life. Therefore, when he ignored birthday messages and missed an August 11 show, they knew something was wrong.
Current Status:
Investigators say Corey’s silence is completely out of character. Consequently, they see it as a strong sign of foul play.
Detectives have interviewed several people connected to the home. Nevertheless, no arrests have been made.
Ongoing Search:
Corey’s mother continues to search farmland, rural roads, and nearby cities. Even now, she refuses to give up hope.
Even so, she believes someone in the community knows what happened. Additionally, she is pleading for them to come forward.
