Eli Wood
Case Information:
Eli Wood was last seen on October 19, 2025. He lived in Kitchener, Ontario, in a home on Major Street. Early that morning, a suspicious fire broke out in his unit. Emergency crews arrived quickly to stop the flames. However, the damage to the home was very severe. Police began searching for Eli right away. Unfortunately, he was not at the scene. Consequently, investigators believed foul play was involved from the very start.
Events Before the Fire:
On the night before the fire, Eli spoke with his family. He was at home and seemed fine until midnight. Specifically, he had planned a “spa night” for his service dog. Family members even found the dog’s towel in the dryer later. Eli rarely left his home except for school or chores. Tragically, police found the remains of his service dog inside. Because of this, his family is sure that Eli did not leave on his own.
Investigation and Police Response:
The Waterloo Regional Police started a big search immediately. They talked to many neighbors to find new clues. Similarly, they looked for physical evidence at the scene. Unfortunately, the fire destroyed Eli’s phone and his laptop. This loss of tools made the early search very hard. Family members traveled to Ontario to help. Additionally, they continue to share his story online. Furthermore, police are keeping some details secret to protect the case.
Support From Your Community:
In late November, a vigil took place in Digby, Nova Scotia. Eli’s family has very deep roots in that town. Many people gathered to sing and pray for him. Specifically, they wanted to support Eli’s mother, Cindy. Speakers at the vigil called Eli a very kind and smart person. Many people believe that someone has the facts to solve this case. Therefore, the community continues to share his face every day.
Who Eli Is Beyond the Case:
Eli is a very thoughtful and bright young man. While in high school, he won a gold medal at a big science fair. Specifically, his project helped people with anxiety. Friends say he cared deeply for children in need. He also helped his peers in group homes. He has a special gift for helping others.
