Kaysey Yoder
Case Information:
Kaysey Marie Yoder went missing from Eaton, Colorado, on January 15, 2024. She was a 34‑year‑old mother of four boys and was studying for her CNA license in hopes of creating a better future for her family.
She was last seen leaving her home on Appy Road carrying a small backpack. Since that day, her loved ones have worked tirelessly to find her, describing Kaysey as a “social butterfly” who was deeply connected to the people around her.
Events Leading Up to Disappearance:
On January 14, Kaysey Marie Yoder left her home on foot at approximately 4:00 p.m. Although she told her family that a friend was coming to pick her up, no such plans had been arranged. She also took the keys to both family vehicles when she left.
Later that evening, witnesses reported seeing her at a liquor store in Ault between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. This was the last confirmed sighting of Kaysey.
The Backpack & Personal Items:
Search teams made a startling discovery shortly after she vanished from the area. Specifically, they found the backpack belonging to Kaysey discarded in a ditch about one mile southwest of her home. Inside the bag, investigators found a change of clothes along with her son’s cellphone.
Despite this discovery, her bank accounts have remained completely untouched. Consequently, there has been no digital footprint or phone activity since that cold January afternoon.
Physical Description & Identifying Marks:
Kaysey Marie Yoder is a white female with platinum or strawberry blonde hair and hazel eyes. Notably, she is quite tall, standing 5 feet 9 inches, and weighs approximately 110 pounds.
On the day she vanished, she was wearing a brown jacket, blue jeans, and black glasses. She was also wearing black knee-high combat boots that laced up to her knees.
Friends fondly remember her for her “infectious energy” and her deep love for roller skating with her kids.
Mental Health & Recent Struggles:
Tragically, the day before she vanished, Kaysey Marie Yoder experienced a significant mental health crisis. In fact, her husband found her lying in a concrete irrigation inlet during a snowstorm.
While she seemed “fine” in a phone call with her mother the following day, her family remains deeply concerned about her state of mind. Specifically, they believe her fragile condition may have played a major role in her disappearance. Although the Weld County Sheriff’s Office has followed over 50 tips, the leads have recently slowed down.
Challenges in the Investigation:
The investigation into the disappearance of Kaysey Marie Yoder has faced several legal hurdles. Because she is an adult and appeared to leave willingly, police cannot easily obtain certain warrants for her records. As a result, this has left the family in a painful state of “limbo.”
In response to these challenges, her loved ones have started a fundraiser to hire a private investigator. Ultimately, they firmly believe a professional could dedicate more time to the specific details of her case.
A Mother’s Impact & Legacy:
This disappearance has left a massive, painful hole in the family. For instance, her eldest son has microcephaly and required the constant, specialized care of Kaysey Marie Yoder.
Beyond her role as a caregiver, her best friend of 23 years refuses to give up the search. Similarly, her mother describes her as an extroverted person who truly never met a stranger. Consequently, they hope her vibrant personality will help someone remember a detail that brings her home.
The Search for Answers Continues:
It has now been months since anyone has heard her voice or seen her smile. In fact, her family even spent her recent birthday blowing out candles without her presence.
While scammers have unfortunately targeted the family with false information, their resolve remains unshaken. Meanwhile, the Eaton community continues to spread her story across social media. Eventually, they hope to find the truth behind what happened to the mother of four.
